I’m David Malan and I’ve worked as an Art/Creative Director at the following Ad agencies: J Walter Thompson, Ogilvy & Mather and Saatchi & Saatchi. I was fortunate enough to have worked on numerous prestigious multinational brands and to have won many local and international advertising awards.

I’m a self-employed photographer and retoucher who mainly shoots interior and architectural work. I also contribute regularly to Getty Images.

My background in product design helps me show the feel of three-dimensional spaces in two-dimensional photos. I enjoy working with designers, architects, and developers — shoots are usually a conversation between them and me, and the best images come from that teamwork.

I live in Cape Town with my family. I enjoy travel, reading, drinking coffee, and bike rides.
